The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is located 12 miles south of Cambridge, Maryland.  This beautiful refuge is home to a wide variety of waterfowl and other wildlife.  During the winter months Tundra Swans, Canada Geese, Snow Geese, and a wide variety of migrating ducks are abundant.  Great Blue Herons, Black ducks, Nutria, Muskrat, Fox Squirrels, Hawks and Bald Eagles are only a few of the year round residents.
