The 96 foot Bay King was built in 1941 in Port Arthur, Texas to serve the United States Navy as YTM 175. She was subsequently acquired by the Bay Towing Corporation in Norfolk, Virginia and serves them today. She has regular runs to Baltimore, Maryland and is shown here departing Norfolk with a container barge and docked at Clinton Street in Baltimore the next day. After an earlier accident in early 2000 she fell on hard times and sank after a collision at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay in late 2001. After salvage of the tug it was determined she could not be returned to service and on January 9, 2005 she was scuttled top be part of the Axel Carlson Reef off New Jersey.
